This Cavatina dress is the perfect dress for any occasion as it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. This is a fan favorite amongst my clientele selling out numerous times on social media.

What makes the Cavatina dress so special? This particular design can be worn in either direction with the tie at the back or the front worn as a "pussy bow" for lack of a better term! The shell of the dress fits several sizes with sized separate "chemise" linings. The purpose of the "chemise" is to protect the shell of the dress making it more sustainable as it needs less frequent washing. Simply throw the chemise into the washer and put it back under the shell which reduces wash cycles making it more eco-friendly and will extend the life of this gorgeous dress.

The draping of this dress is stylish, modern and comfortable for your active lifestyle and packs down to the size of a scarf. There is a chic keyhole for comfort and elegance. The lining of the dress is cut to fit perfectly inside the dress without disturbing the keyhole or showing your undergarments. This is my favorite fabric as it is as light as a silk scarf but is a durable opaque poly/spandex blend imported from Italy (also utilizing deadstock fabrics). Since launching "byVINNIK" I've made a few slight alterations to the design of this incredible dress improving fit!

Suzanne Vinnik has captivated audiences across the globe and has been recognized as one of the most influential women in classical music as an opera singer, community engagement leader, photographer and now successful clothing designer as of May 2019.

As an opera singer, some of her diverse repertoire as a leading soprano includes the title role in Manon Lescaut, Nedda in Pagliacci, Mimi and Musetta in La bohème, Violetta in La traviata amongst others with notable engagements at Pittsburgh Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and on concert stages as a soloist throughout Italy, Norway (Her Majesty Queen Sonja in the audience), Russia and before members of US Congress sharing the stage with President Joe Biden. Her parallel pursuit of entrepreneurial endeavors led her to first start Shoperatic, the largest specialized social media network and marketplace for all women in classical music. She is a published photographer, guest columnist, stylist and hosted "Diva Who Hustles" an online web-series for The Dallas Opera Network. Her love of fashion and desire to create her dream job on her own terms inspired the launch of “byVINNIK” an ethically manufactured inclusive womenswear line made in Downtown Los Angeles with clientele all over the world including some of the biggest names in Classical Music, Broadway and TV.

Suzanne holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Texas Christian University with additional studies at Mannes College of Music and Otis College of Design. She is an alumnus of the Opera Studio of  Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy where she studied and performed under the tutelage of Renata Scotto and The Dallas Opera’s Hart Institute for Women Conductors where she was an Administration Fellow in 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys co-producing events as a volunteer artist throughout New York City and Los Angeles with her favorite charity, Sing For Hope with whom she will design a rainbow piano to be donated as part of their national pilot program bringing the arts to underserved communities.
