What makes our babouche stand out from the others? We pulled the genie out of the bottle by evolving the style to include a molded rubber outsole design. The Moroccan babouche slipper, beloved by desert nomads and monarchs for centuries, is currently all the rage among fashion footwear enthusiasts. Often called the “Aladdin shoe”, the one universal complaint about the ones from Morocco is that they offer no support- that the traditional slippers are not quite wearable in our modern times. Vision Quest Shoes offers the tread, comfort, and overall wearability of sneakers while maintaining an elegant profile. Furthermore, our babouche is made from leather salvaged from dead-stock inventory. Wearing sophisticated shoes is important but being eco-conscious is even more so. Our babouche is pigskin lined and also offers clear right and left foot designations, not always true with the Moroccan version. Finally, the Vision Quest babouche features the Yes or No Eye logo reminding us that every step we take should be true to our intentions and individual paths.

Ce Ce Chin is a Los Angeles based shoe designer best known for the New York indie darling brand 80%20. Her West Coast adventures have her seeking a more spiritual existence which is reflected in her new collection, Vision Quest Shoes. The limited edition sneakers are inspired by a Ouija Board reader, another accessory designed to help us be open, ask questions, and move confidently forward. Ce Ce encourages the wearer to walk mindfully, listening to both themselves and the Universe, treating each step as a walking meditation. “Most of us treat walking as simply a physical act. This shoe is meant to remind us that we can be much more intentional in our choices and our movement,” Ce Ce says. In essence, the shoes take you to where the answers are.

Suzanne Vinnik has captivated audiences across the globe and has been recognized as one of the most influential women in classical music as an opera singer, community engagement leader, photographer and now successful clothing designer.
Some of her diverse repertoire as a leading soprano includes the title role in Manon Lescaut, Nedda in Pagliacci, Mimi and Musetta in La bohème, Violetta in La traviata amongst others with notable engagements at Pittsburgh Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Dallas Opera, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and on concert stages as a soloist throughout Italy, Norway (Her Majesty Queen Sonja in the audience) and Russia. Her parallel pursuit of entrepreneurial endeavors led her to first start Shoperatic, the largest specialized social media network and marketplace for womxn in classical music. She is a published photographer, guest columnist, stylist and hosted "Diva Who Hustles" an online web-series for The Dallas Opera Network. Her love of fashion and desire to create her dream job on her own terms inspired the launch of “by VINNIK” an ethically manufactured womxnswear line made in Downtown Los Angeles with clientele all over the world including some of the biggest names in Classical Music, Broadway and TV.
Suzanne holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Texas Christian University with additional studies at Mannes College of Music and Otis College of Design. She is an alumnus of the Opera Studio di Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy where she studied and performed under the tutelage of Renata Scotto and The Dallas Opera’s Hart Institute for Women Conductors where she was an Administration Fellow in 2019. In her spare time, she enjoys co-producing events as a volunteer artist throughout New York City and Los Angeles with her favorite charity, Sing For Hope and guest speaking at universities and on panels for female entrepreneurs.
